Dr. Saeed Arefanian is a fellowship-trained bariatric and general surgeon with specialized expertise in minimally invasive and robotic surgery. He completed his Bariatric Surgery Fellowship at the University of Missouri, following his residency in General Surgery at the same institution, where he also served as Chief Resident. He previously trained at Washington University in St. Louis and earned his medical degree from Tehran University of Medical Sciences.
Dr. Arefanian has extensive clinical and research experience, including work as a General Surgeon at Moberly Regional Medical Center and as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Thoracic Surgery Immunobiology at Washington University. His academic contributions include over 20 peer-reviewed publications and numerous presentations at national and international surgical meetings. His research has spanned topics such as bariatric surgery outcomes, robotic hernia repair, and immune mechanisms in lung cancer.
